GOOD MORNING GOD
Thank you for guiding us thru another week.
“And now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love” is a verse from the Bible, 1 Corinthians 13:13
In a world that desperately needs more love this is a timely verse not only for the people of Corinth but also for us everyday in every situation. We tend to be bombarded by news whether locally, nationally or internationally. News that can make us edgy, sinical and yes even angry and resentful. Love may not always be what oozes out of us when we hear all this stuff. And sometimes in our daily interactions with people we encounter words/actions may put us on edge. Here to we need to put LOVE in place rather then resentful thoughts and words. This world needs more LOVE and we can be the applicators. Help us to hear this verse and adhere to it.
Thank you again God for our answered prayers. Prayers that were spoken and prayers that were unspoken and sensed only by and to you. You know there are many health concerns, and we pray that you would provide the strength and energy required to persevere thru them. Be with others in the congregation that are considering transition give them strength.
As we continue to celebrate 50 years of life here at WMC we are thankful for the ways you have guided us thru the great, good and sometimes trickier times. We are so thankful for the ways you guided the Pioneers and Founders of this congregation. We are thankful for the ways you have been faithful in providing pastors, lay leaders, administrators, and other employees of WMC for the past 50 years. So many gifts and skills have led us thus far. We remember and are blessed by those who may not be with us anymore but provided much sweat equity into this congregation. What may have been the consistent factor in all this is Change and Evolution. And as we reflect and celebrate may we be thankful for the many skills that we have had and continue to have. Change will continue and we ask that you guide us in all of this for the next 50 years and beyond .
God we ask for prayers for all World leaders. May they govern with integrity, honesty and a clean conscience. Instead of unhelpful thoughts and words may we support our leaders in our thoughts and prayers. Give all our leaders strength, patience and clarity of mind as they govern us Internationally, Nationally, Provincially and locally.
We ask for prayers for our HOF this week at WMC
God we sometimes feel squeezed from many sides and showing LOVE is not at time easy. In these tough times help us to show LOVE and support and we ask that you provide the energy we need to be the givers of this LOVE. Guide us thru the week and weeks ahead. Help us not to be run over by change but accept that it is inevitable and help us to get out in front of it. For that we ask for energy, perseverance, strength and oh yes LOVE.
